Real Zhu Ni has a distinctive warm, reddish-orange tone with fine, natural sand particles visible to the naked eye. When you tap the pot gently, it produces a clear, bell-like ring rather than a dull thud. Most importantly, authentic Zisha clay is slightly porous—after a few brews, you’ll notice the surface developing a gentle sheen without any waxy coating. We source our clay directly from the Huanglong mountain mine in Yixing and provide a certificate of authenticity with every teapot.
